art research and exhibits
With this invitation we would like you to engage in an artistic practice. The aim is to publish an ongoing discourse on the development of the commons in relation to its artistic activities and recombinant social composition.

Besides the somewhat mystified workings of what artists think about what makes their art happen, a thinking through an encounter with philosophy, readings, video lecture series, and a collective writing practice aims to expand and open the bubbles between artists, the ‘public’ and radical otherness.

The writing practice aims to produce a critique on the artworks presented in the commons; bridging the artistic intention towards a comprehension of the artwork in an actual socio-philosophical context. At start the artist will be invited to engage in a questioning of their relation to the commons. What can they bring to the commons? How will they play part in the economy of the commons? Can the desire for creating artwork be sustained in the commons? Which practices cause a desire for collaboration and which practices lead to a competition?

Four times per year a modest publication is compiled, published on the website and printed on demand for artists in the commons and the persons with an interest in our artistic activities as a common production space. Contributions are added by the artists active in the commons, reviews of their work, reflection on the artistic production process, results of artistic research, etc.

The practice happens at cunst.link on Sundays
December 4th, 11th and 25th in the afternoons from 15h00.
